CONSTRUCTION
The condenser consists of metal tubes with wire coils wound around them. The wire increases the surface area available for heat dissipation.
HEAT EXCHANGE
As the refrigerant flows through the tubes, heat is transferred to the wire coil and then dissipated to the surrounding air.
AIRFLOW
Often, a fan blows air across the wire coils to improve heat dissipation and efficiency.
